Fountaingrove Road Repairs Underway
[updated!] The initial phase of paving restoration is continuing in Fountaingrove, and is expected to last for another 1-2 weeks, pending weather delays and other unforeseen circumstances. The work being performed will consist of removing and replacing damaged sections of the road surface. The contractor will return at a later date to apply a slurry seal to the entire road surface. As of now, there are no full road closures expected while this work is underway. At a minimum, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times. If road closures are needed detour routes will be established to provide access to residents. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to safely direct cars through the work zone when traffic control measures are in place. Drivers should anticipate potential delays and allow for extra time when traveling through the area.
Some homes that have work being performed directly in front of their property will have vehicle access restricted to the driveway the day that the work is underway. If you will need your car during the work period in front of your driveway, please park it on an adjacent street before 8 a.m. on the day of the work. If you are unable to park away from your home for any reason, please call the hotline phone number below and accommodations will be made to provide access.
For details on which streets will be impacted and when please refer to the project website at www.NeighborhoodRoadRecovery.com. If you have questions regarding the upcoming work please call the project information line at (707) 385-1239.
Please Note:
- While this work is underway there will be ‘No Parking’ signs posted along the street.
- Work hours, including ‘No Parking’ hours, are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm., Monday through Friday.
- All driveways will have access at the end of each workday.
- Emergency vehicle access and/or resident evacuation in event of emergency will always be accommodated.
- If you will need to use your vehicle on your street’s paving days, please park on an adjacent street.
- There will be some periods of up to several hours where vehicle access will not be possible into or out of homes where road repair work is taking place directly in front of the driveway.
- If you have special/urgent circumstances requiring getting your vehicle in or out of your driveway while the work is taking place, please make contact with one of the on-site inspectors and they will assist you with access.
- Trash/recycling collection will be accommodated via coordination with the collection service.
- Mail and package deliveries should not be impacted by construction activities. When needed, delivery vehicles are parked away from the construction zone and mail/packages are delivered on foot.
When traveling on or near the streets being paved, please use extra caution and watch for construction crews, equipment, flaggers, and special construction/traffic signage.

Project Overview
The project will resurface 33-miles of residential City streets damaged following the 2017 Tubbs Fire. Two pavement treatment options will be applied to resurface the pavement on this project. One pavement treatment option will involve a mill-and-fill asphalt replacement and the other involves dig-out repairs and application of a latex-modified, high-volume traffic slurry seal treatment. The type of treatment applied to a street depends on the pavement condition of the roadway. The project will also include the installation of over 100 ADA-compliant pedestrian curb ramps.
Construction Notes
As with all large construction projects, there will be unavoidable disruptions to nearby neighbors and to motorists traveling in the area – we apologize in advance for noise, dust, lane closures, traffic delays, and any other impacts or inconveniences. When driving, walking, or biking in the area, always be aware of construction crews and equipment, flaggers, special signage, slower traffic, and rough roadways. Use an alternate route if possible, and allow for additional time to get to and from your destination.
