Road Repair Work Underway in Foutaingrove
[updated!] Slurry seal pavement resurfacing is continuing, and expected to be completed in approximately 1 – 2 weeks (followed by striping of the roadways). This final phase focuses on Fountaingrove neighborhood streets that previously received “dig-out” or crack seal repairs and are now being resurfaced with slurry seal to protect the pavement and improve drivability.During slurry seal work, streets will be closed for up to one day between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Residents are asked to move their vehicles in advance, as driveway access and street parking will not be available during closures.
REMINDER: Do not drive around or beyond orange cones blocking streets during work or while the slurry is curing/drying. Never drive on a “wet” slurry seal – the material will get on your vehicle and driveway, and it is not easily removed.
The contractor is scheduling the project to avoid work on adjacent cross streets at the same time to allow for parking. Residents with limited mobility may request help from the on-site inspector, or call the project information line at 707-385-1239, if they need assistance leaving or returning to their home.
Garbage and recycling services have been notified in advance and have adjusted their routes to maintain service during construction. Continue to place your trash receptacles on the street during your normally scheduled pick-up day. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.
‘No Parking’ signs will be placed on streets 72 hours in advance of work being performed. If a vehicle is left on the street on the day work will take place, crews will make every effort to contact the registered owner of the vehicle so they can move it. However, if necessary, the vehicle will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Project Overview
The project will resurface 33-miles of residential City streets damaged following the 2017 Tubbs Fire. Two pavement treatment options will be applied to resurface the pavement on this project. One pavement treatment option will involve a mill-and-fill asphalt replacement and the other involves dig-out repairs and application of a latex-modified, high-volume traffic slurry seal treatment. The type of treatment applied to a street depends on the pavement condition of the roadway. The project will also include the installation of approximately 330 ADA-compliant pedestrian curb ramps.
Construction Notes
As with all large construction projects, there will be unavoidable disruptions to nearby neighbors and to motorists traveling in the area – we apologize in advance for noise, dust, lane closures, traffic delays, and any other impacts or inconveniences. When driving, walking, or biking in the area, always be aware of construction crews and equipment, flaggers, special signage, slower traffic, and rough roadways. Use an alternate route if possible, and allow for additional time to get to and from your destination.
